Well, new friend, here we are. If you found my page, you must be a curious stalker, looking for some good entertainment. Grab your popcorn and buckle up. If you're like me, you might even have second-hand embarrassment.
Hi, I'm Beth.
Apparently, I've resorted to marketing.
I would like the record to show this wasn't Plan A.
Plan A was to meet a wonderful man organically—probably while reaching for the same book in a charming independent bookstore, or when our flights were inexplicably upgraded, and we ended up sitting next to each other on the way to London. But "organic" secretly had a lot of pesticides.
Plan B was dating apps. I could share with you my photo album entitled "Profiles from Hell" that has over 150 men dressed as clowns (no shade to Ronald), on ventilators, asking for a third person to join their marriage, and some unusually close to their cows.
And now here we are.
I have a QR code.
Honestly, why not? The dating game has changed, and I'm tired. I feel like I'm getting a bit numb, so this is my attempt to stay in the game and keep my heart alive.
So, who am I?
I’m 51, live in Knoxville, Tennessee, and have built a life I genuinely love. Dolly P and I share a birthday! RIP! I run a nonprofit that cares for people in ministry. I’m finishing a doctorate, teach occasionally, travel when the budget allows, and love a shared adventure. I love beautiful places, SEC football (specifically the Tennessee Volunteers), and being an auntie to about 25 kiddos. I am a woman who teaches the Bible to men on occasion, and I realize that is a dealbreaker for some.
I also have a sheepadoodle who will almost certainly have opinions about you.
I love Jesus deeply, but I’m not particularly interested in pretending to have life figured out. My faith has become less about having all the right answers and much more about grace, wonder, honesty, and learning to love people well. A life lived with Jesus has to be the driving force in a potential relationship.
I’m independent, but I don’t want to do all of life alone.
And maybe that’s the most important thing to know about me.
I’m not looking for someone to rescue me, complete me, finance me, fix me, or become the center of my universe. I’ve built a full life with people I adore, work that matters to me, places I still want to see, and a supportive family.
I’d just really love someone to share it with.
Someone kind.
Someone funny.
Someone emotionally mature enough to have an actual conversation when things get hard.
Someone with self-control.
Someone who loves his people well. Who has integrity when nobody is watching. Who can laugh at himself. Who is curious. Who has done enough living to know that none of us gets through this thing without some scars.
A man who loves Jesus.
Bonus points if you have a passport.
I want us both to think, “My life was good. And somehow, it's better with you in it.”
So, yes.
After approximately 147 years of dating apps, I decided to try something different.
I made a website.
I made a QR code.
I have apparently become my own marketing department.
And if you're reading this because someone handed you a card, sent you a link, accosted you at a coffee shop, or said, “DUDE. I FOUND YOUR WIFE,” I apologize for absolutely nothing.
Maybe this ridiculous little experiment goes nowhere.
Or maybe years from now, we'll have to explain to people that we met because I launched a grassroots advertising campaign for my own love life.
And honestly?
That would be a pretty great story.
If you've made it this far, wow. Feel free to check out the FAQ page. :)

I love everything about this.♥️
ReplyDeleteThe most wonderful person I know. Your man is going to be the luckiest alive!
ReplyDeleteBravo, Beth!!! You are a treasure! How you have gotten to 51 (seriously?!) and still unclaimed has always been a mystery to me. Looking forward to Mr. Right entering this beautiful picture and never even imagine leaving again. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this! ❤️ I admire your boldness and your willingness to be vulnerable and put yourself out there in such an authentic way. I’m praying that God brings the perfect man into your life, someone who enhances the beautiful life you’ve already built and gives you someone special to laugh with, make memories with, and simply enjoy life with.
ReplyDeleteGirl, I’m usual friend. Shared this on Facebook… After being divorced for nine years, I could have written this myself. Well, except for being a volunteer fan. Although I will say, Nayland is a pretty fun stadium, but roll tide till I die 😜I may need to steal your marketing idea. because word for word almost is what I have had conversations with friends about. Solidarity, sister, crossing my fingers and wishing you the very best in your search.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. Brilliant. I wish i knew 10 available men to send this to and who could be so blessed to find you.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Are you unclaimed? Or are you the treasure that someone needs to be worthy of to obtain? I wish you joy. I wish you the love of friends and strangers like me. And if a person is worthy of you, may they show up and demonstrate their worth.
ReplyDeleteBeth! I am a stalker - no really...this is brilliant! Love you to pieces.
ReplyDeleteBeth, I am cheering you on! Love this so much!
